African Democratic Institute -Debate Club (ADI-DC)
The ADI Debate Club is a debate platform created by the African Democratic Institute in order to achieve democracy and economic emancipation of Africa by assembling young minds to discuss solutions on problematic countries. This concept is being implemented in partnership with the Faculty of Humanities at the University of the Witwatersrand. This initiative is currently operational in South Africa and Zimbabwe and the idea is to have these debates in five countries by April and these countries are Kenya, Malawi, Botswana, South Africa and Zimbabwe and the entire southern African region by year end (2010 December). Parallel to these public debates are high school debates that are currently being rolled out in South Africa. These initiatives shall be implemented in all African countries and through these platform youths are going to be identified who are going to work under the ADI youth leadership program.
